AISF observed World Environment day 2020.
June,5 2020: All India Students Federation Jammu and Kashmir observed World Environment day 2020 at different places in Union Territory. Sulinder Parihar District President AISF Doda and Vinkal Parihar planted two saplings of "Melia azedarach" commonly known as "Chinaberry" and locally as "Drake" in Doda town.
Pankaj Sharma former Incharge State President AISF J&K planted 5 saplings of Medicinal plant "Withania somnifera" commonly known as Indian ginsing and locally known as Ashwagandha. Sharma said that "Winthania somnifera" is very useful and can cure many diseases. It is an ancient medicinal herb and can reduce blood sugar levels, Might have anticancer properties,can reduce cortisol levels, may help reduce stress and anxiety, may reduce symptoms of depression, can boost testosterone and increase fertility in men, may increase muscle mass and strength.

Comrade Mukesh Parihar former State President also planted 2 saplings of "Deodar cedar" commonly known as Deodar and is found in the hilly terrains of Union Territory. He further added that "The theme for World Environment Day 2020" is, 'Time for Nature,' with a focus on its role in providing the essential infrastructure that supports life on Earth and human development.
This focus is expected to provide an opportunity for driving the momentum and public awareness.
