DODA, JUNE 16 : Arif  Naik ,  a social acitivist  from Doda , in a statement said  that dream of "Digital India" turns into  a hollow claim  particularly  in Chenab belt .He said ,that it may  sound bitter but it is real truth that many  remote and mountaneous areas of Chenab valley are without basic facilities like Bank ATM etc. 




It is pertinent  to mention here that Block Chilly was provided status of  Tehsil  in year 2018 but due to unknown  reasons Tehsil office is not working here and is disfunctional due to which the general masses have to move towards Gandoh to frame documents . Reminding that , the population of Tehsil Chilly Paine is more than 20,000 but still are lacking basic  facilities.




Besides this , Tehsil chilly lacks Bank and ATM facility  have an alone PHC and one Higher secondary. The  general masses are forced to travel long distance of almost 15 to 20 kms to reach the  bank and  offices.


He termed it as a "injustice with the people of Tehsil Chilly" . He said ,  that  surveys for opening  bank branch many times took place but on ground level  nothing seems constructed.

In a statement he told , that  administration  should answer why Tehsil Office is not functional  , the  pentioners  face   immense hardships to withdraw their  pensions  ,spend a huge travel money in  order to avail the 1000 rupees  pension.  He said that students and  farmers ,pensioners suffers badly in this hour of crisis.


He appealed to LG ( J&k) UT to have a kind  look into matter and demaded the immediate redressal of the greviances so that the poor people of the said area not suffer more.
