Marmat tehsil without ATM, public demanding J&K Bank ATM facility


DODA : As everyone looks toward  Digital India but there is also place an area where population is above 50,000 but are still waiting for an ATM installation. Tehsil Marmat, of District Doda which is about 30 Km away from Distric Doda which is a remote area.




This area of District Doda has been neglected by authorities which sounds bitter.Massive gathering is witnessed as this tehsil has an alone branch of Jammu & Kashmir Bank.

During an interaction with KHALSA EXPRESS CORRESPONDENT DIL BAR IRSHAD, a resident Ajmal Hussain  said that we have submitted resolutions to zonal office and authorites many times but  difficulties seems to be have no end.
He said  that whenever we enquired from authorities why J&K Bank ATM is not installed in Tehsil Marmat.






A resident Shabir Ahmed Salaria said that during back to village programme ,during Satya Pal Malik ,Ex Honourable Governer J&k , memorandum were submitted but no action was taken.








Public demand the intervention of  Deputy Commissioner of Doda ,Dr Sagar D Diafode to resolve the matter at earliest so that Marmatwasis not suffer more in this period of Corona lockdown.
