POONCH: SSP Khalid Amin (JKPS) on Saturday inaugurated cricket tournament in memory of  Aurangzeb at Jhullas Poonch.




The tournament is organized by Sarpanch Khalid Chouhan State Executive Member Haq Insaaf Council under its "War on Drugs" Initiative. Opening Match was played between Surankote Cricket Club Versus Kunaiyan Cricket Club. More than dozen Cricket teams are participating in the tournament from across the Poonch District.DySp Azeem Qureshi ,Insp S.D Singh SHO Poonch along with other Police and civil officers were present on the occasion.





Speaking on the inaugural function, Khalid Ameen (JKPS) said that organizing these tournaments is aimed to keep youth away from drugs and groom the Budding Cricketers who will be representing Peer Panjaal Region at National and International Level in near future.

While paying rich tributes to the Aurangzeb, the SSP said that martyrs without caring for their lives fought till their last breath for peace of J&K and will live in our hearts for their supreme sacrifice.He applauded the initiative of organizers and appreciated there commitment to eradicate drugs from the society.





 DySP Azeem Qureshi appealed the youth to nourish their talent, calibre and bring Laurel's for their Country. Sarpanch Khalid Chouhan thanked the guests for ensuring there presence in the opening ceremony and remembered Aurangzeb who laid down his life for "Idea of India".
